This song is dedicated to anyone who has ever lost anyone on the highways due to a car crash. There are far to many crosses on the highway and if we remember how they got there we may be able to save a life. YOURS!

These lyrics were inspired by actual crosses on our highway in East tennessee. The one that hit home was the little red wagon with flowers in it and a candle as an alter.

There's Jimmy's little red wagon and it's full of flowers

Somebody made a tribute to him along the side of the road

Cinder blocks for an alter, letting their faith never falter

Fresh flowers and a lit candle was always there

Now there's a place on I 40, I guess she was only thirty

But her cross will be a vision, burned in the back of my mind

Every time I go around that corner, I always slow down to honor

That woman’s cross on the side of the road

And I pass crosses on the highway; somebody lost the right of way

Some father lost a daughter, some mother lost a son

Crosses on the highway washing all of their sins away

Let heaven take them cause their time here is done

I counted five; Lord it must have been a family

Like a well trimmed cemetery at the side of the road

What ever blood line was left, was making sure that all the rest

Would remember the place where they lost their own
